So, my dear wife made some great muffins this morning, 2 pans of them! Unfortunately, we only saw one pan. Here we are 12 1/2 hours later and wondering where the other pan went! We found them...in the oven. (I do have her permission to post this pic, btw). These things are awesome! I believe they are akin to what David used on Goliath...No, we can't eat them, but I dare any intruders to come now!
Whatever!!! I can make breakfast... but I might leave half of it in the oven, forgotten. At least I didn't leave the oven on! Anyhow, when Joel asked me why I wrote "muffin pan liners" on the grocery list, I said that I had used them up this morning. "On what," he said. I explained that on the second pan of muffins, I used up the few papers we had. Well, that's when I realized they'd stayed in the oven all day. They are as hard as a loofah. Oh well, that's why I married a good cook.
ReplyDeleteDear Sarah! Thank you for this! I can make a mouth-watering Chicken Marsala but I burn cookies sometimes because I heat them up in the stove and completely forget I put them in there. I'm told it's the sign of an intellectually ueber-talented mind. I'm so lost in thought that the factoid of cookies in the oven escapes me. I also remember putting socks in the fridge at one point when I was married; they were dress socks that Patrick had to wear with his suit in the morning. I'm sure there was a logical explanation at the time; maybe they were overheated, but it certainly gave a new meaning to the world cold feet! Joel will laugh at that because some things never change, namely, me. I'm so happy Joel started this blog as we have all been oohing and ahhing at his culinary creations for way too long. ReplyDeleteAwww such a sweet story Naomi! I'm so glad I'm in good company. Not all of us can be talented with the same things. -Sarah DiGloria
